Terms and Conditions for Bookings at Goldbrick House

1. General Terms

1.1. By making a booking at Goldbrick House (’GB’), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1.2. These terms apply to all bookings, whether made in person, online, via email, or via telephone.

2. Booking Confirmation

2.1. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from a member of staff at GB.

2.2. GB reserves the right to cancel any booking that has not been confirmed within 24 hours of the booking request.

3. Deposit Policy

3.1. Spaces to hire are secured via a refundable deposit that is held until after the event to cover losses, damages, and no shows.

3.2. If all terms and conditions are adhered to, deposits will be returned in full to the same card used to make the payment within 5-7 working days after the event.

3.3. All deposit payments are to be made via our booking partners Design My Night unless overwise arranged with a member of GB staff.

4. Brunches

4.1. Brunches are limited to 90 minutes. You can order your last drinks just before your 90 minutes is up and you can then enjoy them for the last half an hour of your booking, your table is available for 2 hours to allow for finishing your drinks.

4.2. Your 90 minutes start at the agreed booking time, either 12pm or 3pm. If you’re late, this time will be deducted from the 90mins.

4.3. Brunches are non-refundable.

4.4. The price of the brunch is per person, and drinks cannot be shared.

4.5. All dietary requirements can be catered for, but all allergies and intolerances of any guest MUST be declared at least 7 days before your booking date. GB cannot guarantee stock availability without this advanced request time.

5. Roof Terrace Bookings

5.1. The Roof Terrace windows must be closed from 10:30pm to comply with sound level monitoring requirements and to respect our neighbours. Staff and management have final say on all related matters. Refusal to adhere to this rule will not be tolerated and may lead to loss of deposit and/or expulsion from the premises

5.2. The Roof Terrace has a limited/bottle bar. When hiring this space, inform a member of the admin team of any drinks requests before your event, and they can let you know what we’re able to provide. All other drinks are served in Alfred’s or Goldie’s bars.

6. Boujee Wonderland Bookings

6.1. If Boujee Wonderland is booked exclusively, please be aware that the only way to access the Roof Terrace from the front of the building is to walk through this room, so other members of the public need to be able to enter this space. If you think someone is staying in Boujee incorrectly, please inform a member of staff.

6.2. Similarly, the rear fire exit can only be accessed through Boujee Wonderland, so the public cannot be denied access.

7. Booking Amendments and Cancellations

7.1. Cancellation of your reservation 14 days before the date will incur no charge at all for bookings of less than 35 people.

7.2. Groups of over 35 people or private area bookings need to cancel a minimum of 28 days prior for a full refund.

7.3. Groups of over 35 people or private area bookings who cancel within a 14-day period will incur a 50% retention of their deposit.

7.4. Groups of over 35 people or private area bookings who cancel within a 7-day period will incur a 100% retention of their deposit.

7.5. For large groups, it is important your party arrives at the booked time. If your party is significantly late, we retain the right to withhold a partial or full amount of your deposit. In the event of a ‘no show,’ we reserve the right to retain 100% of your deposit.

7.6. We classify a ‘no show’ booking as a booking where the party is more than an hour late or does not attend their booking at all.

8. Arrival and Seating

8.1. We only hold tables for 15 minutes. Please email ahead to advise of your arrival time if you are running late.

8.2. We cannot guarantee specific seating requests but will do our best to accommodate your preferences.

9. Conduct and Responsibility

9.1. Guests are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful to staff and other patrons. GB reserves the right to refuse service and/or ask guests to leave if they display inappropriate behaviour.

9.2. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their visit. We reserve the right not to refund your deposit if the space used has been damaged.

9.3. All alcohol and food must be purchased on the premises or ordered in advance. If you are found bringing your own, this will be confiscated.

9.4. We do not allow under 18’s after 21:00

10. Payment Terms

10.1. All payments are made via our booking partners, Design My Night.

10.2. Corporate cards will incur an additional £1 admin fee on Design My Night’s side.

10.3. We reserve the right to limit the number of card payments on large tables during our busy periods.

10.4. Please note that deposits for large bookings cannot be used for payment for food or drinks unless otherwise stated by a member of staff.

10.5. All bills must be settled in full before leaving the premises.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

11.1. Any personal information you provide will be used solely for the purpose of managing your booking and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms and Conditions

12.1. GB reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in advance if they affect your booking.

13. Liability

13.1. GB will not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential losses or damages arising in connection with your booking.

14. Governing Law

14.1. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
